Fugue State: a dreamlike altered state of consciousness, lasting from a few hours to several days, during which a person loses his memory for his previous life and often wanders away from home.

This new chapter in a new series from Stephen Philips attempts to create music which is disorienting and jarring through the use of ambient sounds, experimental themes, and disturbing tones. This music steps outside the bounds of reality to create a truly disturbing altered state of consciousness for the listener.

To create these pieces Stephen used synthesizers, found sound, samples, percussion instruments, bottles, cans, and a wide variety of other objects. The items and samples were then manipulated and many effects were added to create the jarring soundscape you have here.
